Although overlooked for a long long time, the music of video games is really starting to get the recognition it deserves and it warms the very cockles of my heart.
We all have our favourites... Super Mario Kart , Mass Effect, Final Fantasy VII to name three off the top of my head.
There must be countless iconic melodies out there which we all know and love, and now the London Philharmonic are giving us their interpretation of some old and new game themes.. and personally.. I can't wait to get my hands onto the upcoming album.
Its worth mentioning the excellent Video Games Live tour which is well worth seeing if you haven't had the chance.. recommend it to any music lovers out there, never mind gamers.

My name is Rik Belfield and I've played and enjoyed gaming since the late 80's. A child of the ZX Spectrum, Atari ST, Amiga 500 and eventually the Playstation and all the other console iterations since - it is one of my favourite past times and I love talking, playing and debating about all of this to anyone who will listen. This is my blog, and these are my thoughts and reactions to today's gaming scene. Welcome.. to Rik's Reaction
